From Submarines to Software

I spent 9 years in the Navy on submarines as a nuclear engineer. On a submarine, every system is interconnected, every process matters, and failure isn't an option. You learn to think in systems, to build redundancy, and to relentlessly optimize for reliability.

After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 2014, I served as a submarine officer managing some of the most complex engineering systems in the world. Reactor maintenance procedures, sonar systems, combat information centers. Environments where precision and process discipline determine outcomes.
